 No. 4-ranked Cal Women's Water Polo Falls to No. 1 Stanford, 10-7, in Finals of Stanford Invitational2/7/2010 The No. 4-ranked California women's water polo team saw a great run come to an end, falling to No. 1-ranked and host Stanford, 10-7, in the finals of the Stanford Invitational, Sunday, Feb. 7 at Avery Aquatics Center. The Golden Bears (9-1), led by sophomore Emily Csikos' three goals in the title match, had won their first nine matches of the season before losing to the top-ranked Cardinal in the championship of the Stanford Invite. Cal defeated No. 5 UCLA (4-3), No. 9 Arizona State (12-6) and No. 3 Hawaii (8-7) before losing to Stanford.
