Field Hockey Announces 2012 Schedule

The California Golden Bear field hockey will begin the 2012 season by taking on defending national champion Maryland in Berkeley. The Bears, who reached a program-best ranking of No. 11 last season, will play a challenging schedule that features five other games against 2011 NCAA Tournament participants.

Jessica Kreck Has Top GPA Among Cal Female...

Senior Jessica Kreck was presented with the prestigious Neufeld Scholar-Athlete Award at the 2012 Student-Athlete Honors Luncheon. The awards are given to the graduating male and female student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point averages.

Onstead Returns From U21 National Team Trip

California Golden Bear head coach Shellie Onstead just returned from a stint coaching the United States' Under-21 Field Hockey Team as the junior squad took on England's U21 team. Team USA flew back on Easter Sunday with a 2-1-1 series win.

Cal Field Hockey Nets 11 Academic Honors

The California Golden Bears had 11 players named to the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. Outgoing seniors Maddie Hand and Jessica Kreck earned the fourth honors of their careers.
