Cal Men's Swimming Performs Well in Triple-Distance Meet Versus Stanford11/11/2009 The California men's swimming team performed extremely well in its Triple-Distance Meet versus Stanford Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Spieker Aquatics Complex. Junior Nathan Adrian (sprint freestyle), sophomores Nolan Koon (breaststroke) and Martin Liivamagi (IM) and freshman Tom Shields (butterfly) won their specialty groups, while the Golden Bears captured 11 of the meet's 18 individual events and placed first in the 200 medley and 200 free relays as well. Adrian, the 2009 NCAA champion in the 50 and 100 free, also set a new Spieker Aquatics Complex record in the 50 free with a time of 19.19.
