California kicks off its second weekend of cross country meet action with split-squad efforts at both the Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Ind. and the Capital Cross Country Challenge in Sacramento, Calif. The Bears are coming off a strong start to their season at the USF Invitational, where a group of young runners helped the Bears secure 3rd (Men's) and 4th place (Women's) finishes.

The action at Joe Piane Invitational begins with the women's 5,000 meters at 10 a.m. PST, followed by the men's 5 mile at 10:45 a.m PST. The Sacramento State Capital Cross Challenge will follow on Sunday, with the men's 8000 m at 9:50 am PST, followed by the women's 6,000 m at 10:30 am PST.
