AZUSA, Calif. - Tyler Brendel was the top collegiate finisher and was second overall in Group A of the men's decathlon at the Mt. Sac Multis held on the Azusa Pacific campus. The two-day event, which concluded on Thursday ended with Brendel totaling 7347 points.

Tim Wunderlich, representing Shore Athletic Club, was first in the group with 7517 points, while Colorado's Isaiah Oliver came in third (7331).

"This was a big improvement from Tyler's season-best decathlon score last year," director of Tony Sandoval said. "Tyler left a good number of points on the board, but, nevertheless, he gave a courageous effort in the 1500, which was a PR for him.
