Cal-Oregon State Postgame Notes

  • Cal advances to the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament for the 20th consecutive season. The Bears have never failed to reach the tournament quarterfinals and are looking to reach the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals for the second consecutive season
  • Cal scored 32 points in the first half, the Bears most first-half points since scoring 39 points in the opening half of Cal's home finale vs the Beavers. After averaging just 45 points per game in the final two games of the regular season, the Bears posted 67 points in Wednesday's win
  • The Golden Bears have won all three meetings with Oregon State this season, the first time Cal has won three game against a particular opponent in the same season since going 3-0 against Oregon in 2009-10
  • Cal had four players score in double-figures: Jabari Bird (20), Ivan Rabb (12), Charlie Moore (10), and Stephen Domingo (10). Four players in double-figures is tied for Cal's most in any game this season and the first since February 22 vs Oregon
  • Jabari Bird led the Bears with 20 points, tied for his most ever in a Pac-12 Tournament game. Bird, who averaged just 7.7 points per game in the final three games of the regular season, has now scored in double-figures in each of his last four games at the Pac-12 tournament. Bird went 3-6 from beyond the arc in the win after going 1-13 from deep in the Bears's previous three outings. Bird has now made 183 career three-pointers, tying Richard Midgley for fith-most in program history. 
  • After scoring just five points in his previous four games combined, senior Stephen Domingo had 10 points off the bench for the Bears, including seven in the first half. Domingo's 10 points are one shy of his career best, set on November 16, 2016 against UC Irvine.
  • Sophomore forward Ivan Rabb had a game-high 13 rebounds and added 12 points for his 17th double-double of the season. Rabb now has 29 career double-doubles, tying Leon Powe for the second-most by any Cal player over the last 20 seasons.
  • Freshman point guard Charlie Moore had 10 points and four assists for the Bears after contributing just five points and two assists in Cal's last two games of the regular season combined. With his 10 points vs the Beavers, Moore now has 378 points on the season, tying Jason Kidd for ninth-most by any Cal freshman.
