Pac-12 Unveils Weekly Matchups
BERKELEY – The Pac-12 unveiled the weekly matchups and site designations for the 2016-17 season Tuesday, with the Golden Bears opening at home vs. the Arizona schools and closing the campaign on the road at Utah and Colorado.
The announcement reflects the games being played each week and the home/away locations. Specific dates, the order of games within a given week and times for each game will be announced later this summer after selections by the league's television partners are finalized. All Pac-12 games will be televised by either ESPN, FOX, CBS or Pac-12 Network.
Cal's order of opponents for the coming season is:
Week of Dec. 28-Jan. 1 – Arizona/Arizona State at home
Week of Jan. 4-8 – USC/UCLA on the road
Week of Jan. 11-15 – Washington/Washington State at home
Week of Jan. 18-22 – Oregon/Oregon State on the road
Week of Jan. 25-29 – Stanford at home
Week of Feb. 1-5 – Utah/Colorado at home
Week of Feb. 8-12 – Arizona/Arizona State on the road
Week of Feb. 15-19 – Stanford on the road
Week of Feb. 22-26 – Oregon/Oregon State at home
Week of March 1-4 – Utah/Colorado on the road
The Pac-12 Tournament will take place March 8-11 at new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas
Cal's non-conference schedule will be announced as soon as it is finalized.
Deposits are now being accepted for men's basketball season tickets for the upcoming 2016-17 campaign. The $100 amount will be applied to the final cost of each ticket. Seat selection will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so an earlier deposit means an earlier slot to choose seats.
Entering their third season under head coach
Cuonzo Martin, the Bears will be looking to extend their homecourt advantage after posting a perfect 18-0 record in Berkeley last year – the best home record in the country in 2015-16.
