- With tonight's 56-52 loss to Virginia, Cal's homecourt winning streak ends at a school-record 27 games. The Bears' last loss at Haas Pavilion was an 80-69 setback to Oregon on Feb. 25, 2015. Cal's streak was the fourth longest active run in the country.
- Despite the loss, Cal is now 24-3 in non-conference home games under head coach Cuonzo Martin.
- Ivan Rabb grabbed 9 rebounds in the first half and finished with 12, one off his season high.
- Cal gave up just 22 points to Virginia in the first half, the fifth time this season the Bears have surrendered 22 or fewer points in the opening half. Over the past three games, Cal is giving up 20.7 ppg on 29.8 percent field goal shooting (25-84) in the first half.
- Overall, Cal has allowed 60 or fewer points eight times in 12 games this season.
- One game after scoring a career-high 25 points vs. UC Davis, Jabari Bird tossed in a team-high 15 points, including four 3-pointers.
- With two more blocks, Kingsley Okoroh increased his team-leading total to 30 this season and is within three of his career high of 33 set last year.
