Cal-SE Louisiana Postgame Notes

  • With tonight's 67-55 win, Cal extended its Haas Pavilion winning streak to 23 games, dating back to March 1, 2015. The run is the second longest in school history, trailing only the record 26 set from Dec. 27, 1958, to Dec. 16, 1960.
  • Cal's 23-game homecourt winning streak ties with Virginia for the seventh longest in Division I.
  • Cal outrebounded SE Louisiana, 36-31, and has won the rebounding battle in all five games this season. The Bears entered the day fifth nationally in rebounding margin at +15.0
  • Cal played the game without two starters – senior G Jabari Bird and junior C Kameron Rooks. Bird missed his fourth straight game with back spasms, while Rooks injured a knee in Cal's win over Wyoming Friday and is out indefinitely.
  • With his 17 points, Ivan Rabb reached double figures in scoring for the 11th game in a row. His 10 boards gave him his third double-double in as many games this season.
  • Kingsley Okoroh tied career highs with 10 points and 9 rebounds, while also dishing out a career-high 3 assists.
  • Charlie Moore scored 17 of his 22 points in the first half, shooting 5-7 FG, 3-3 3P and 4-4 FT during the opening period. He also added three steals, which matched his total Friday night vs. Wyoming.
  • Cal has made it a habit rushing out to big early leads at home. In three of the Bears' first four games in Berkeley this season, they led South Dakota State, 11-2; Wyoming, 11-1; and Southwestern Louisiana, 11-1.
