  • Quarterback Davis Webb completed 34-of-53 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns, plus one rushing touchdown He now has 29 TD passes, which moves him up to fourth on the school's single-season list. Pat Barnes is third with 31 from the 1996 campaign.
  • Webb's rushing TD gives him five on the year, which are the most for a Cal QB in a season since Joe Ayoob had five in 2005. Aaron Rodgers also had five in both 2003 and 2004.
  • Webb's 2,914 passing yards this year to rank seventh on Cal's single-season list. On Thursday, he moved ahead of Gale Gilbert (2,789, 1983), Kyle Boller (2,815, 2002), Kevin Riley (2,850, 2009) and Aaron Rodgers (2,903, 2003). Next up is No. 6 Zach Maynard, who threw for 2,990 yards in 2011.
  • Now with 4,154 career all-purpose yardage, Khalfani Muhammad ranks fifth all-time, must behind No. 4. Chuck Muncie, who had 4,194 all-purpose yards from 1973-75.
  • DeVante Wilson notched his second forced fumble of the year and James Looney collected his second career fumble recovery, first of this season. On the next USC drive, Wilson recovered his first career fumble.
  • Matt Anderson connected on a 27-yard field goal in the second quarter. He has now made 30 of his last 33 attempts dating back to last season.
  • Melquise Stovall collected a season-best 9 receptions for 87 yards, including his third touchdown of the season in the fourth quarter. Demetris Robertson also snared a season-best nine catches (92 yards) on the night.
  • Safety Luke Rubenzer corralled his fourth career interception and his second of the season in the fourth quarter. It was also the fourth turnover he's collected this year (two interceptions, two fumble recoveries).
  • Through eight games this season, Cal has alternated wins and losses every week since a season-opening victory over Hawaii (W-L-W-L-W-L-W-L).
