STOCKTON, Calif. -- California (17-3) took a 2-1 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back in a 13-5 victory over Pacific (1-9, 1-8 MPSF) Thursday afternoon at Chris Kjeldson Pool.
Colette Glinkowski led the Golden Bears with a game-high four goals, including three in the final quarter. Karen Cook and Kaliya Young added three goals apiece for California, and Alicia Razzari added two.
Molly Smith paced the Pacific offensive with three of the team's five goals. Ericka Richards and Cari Bertrand added one goal apiece for the Tigers, and freshman goalkeeper Meg Wynstra tallied eight saves. Smith has scored 37 of Pacific's 65 goals in 1998.
Pacific returns to action to host the 10-team 1998 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament April 10-12 at Chris Kjeldsen Pool.
