TEMPE, ARIZ. -

The No. 4 Cal women's water polo team, despite three goals by junior Breda Vosters in the fourth period, dropped a 10-7 conference match at No. 5 Arizona State. The Golden Bears fell to 15-5 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. ASU improved to 16-2 and 2-0 in league play.

Cal fell behind 4-1 in the opening quarter and was never able to catch up. Sophomore Lauren Bridges scored with 1:13 left in the first period for the Bears' first goals. Cal was able to get within, 6-4, in the second period when they outscored the Sun Devils, 3-2, on goals by sophomore Ashley Young, freshman Tiera Schroeder and junior Remington Price.
