BERKELEY, Calif. - Kaliya Young scored four goals and Alisa von Hartitzsch scored three as Cal downed UC San Diego in women's water polo at Canyonview Pool, 15-2. Beth Spinkle and Tiffiny Duncan scored two goals each for the Bears, while Karen Cook, Beth Rasala, Colette Gilnkowski and Amy Buehler each added one goal.

UCSD goals were scored by Hilary Smith and Nora Salem.

The game was the season opener for both teams.
