SAN JOSE, CALIF. - Led by sophomore Breda Vosters' five goals, the No. 3-ranked Cal women's water polo team won its first match of the Spartan Invitational in San Jose Saturday (Jan. 29) morning with a 18-1 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay. The Golden Bears, which improved to 4-0 on the year, will next play No. 19 Pacific at 1 p.m. Saturday.Sophomore utility Remington Price continued her strong scoring this season with three goals, while sophomores Taylor Dodson and Dana Ochsner had two goals apiece. Price leads Cal in scoring this season with 12 goals in four matches. Ochsner, who was a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Freshman Team last season, is second on the squad in scoring with 10 goals. Sophomore goalie Lindsay Dorst had five saves in two quarters of work for the Bears, and freshman Kristen Stern added three saves.
