California Women's Water Polo Class of 2008 Photo Gallery
Stuart compiled 630 saves in four years as a Golden Bear and was selected as an honorable mention All-American in 2008 by the Associate of College Water Polo Coaches. Her saves place her second on Cal's all-time saves list (as of 2008).
AS A SENIOR (2008):
Starting goalkeeper for Cal, grabbing 269 saves between the posts...had a personal high of 18 games in the 5-3 win over Irvine on March 1...boasted 10.0 save per game, good for second in the competitive MPSF, and allowed just 6.92 goals per game...received an honorable mention All-America honor...member of the MPSF All-Academic team for the second year in a row...received an honorable mention place on the All-MPSF squad.
AS A JUNIOR (2007):
Leading keeper for the Golden Bears, notching 158 saves in 645 minutes of play in 21 games...had 21 saves at the Stanford Invitational...had an in-credible 15 saves in the upset over Hawaii (2-24-07)...made 10 stops against UC Irvine in the overtime victory (3-10-07)...helped the Bears to a 13-10 win over Long Beach State (3-11-07) with 11 saves...was eighth in the MPSF with 158 saves, averaging 7.52 saves/game ...allowed an average of 8.00 goals/game, which was ninth in the conference...named to the MPSF Academic All-MPSF selection list.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2006):
Established herself as Cal's starting goalie, recording 167 saves in 26 matches with a 5.97 goal against average...had 23 saves during the MPSF Tournament, including nine saves in the fifth-place match versus Arizona State...recorded a season-high 14 saves at Arizona State March 28...had 11 saves against UCLA in the Stanford Invitational (2-11-06)...member of the USA junior national team.
AS A FRESHMAN (2005):
Competed in nine matches, recording 36 saves in 141 minutes of action as a true freshman.
At Campolindo High School, was a two-time All-American, three-time all-league, two-time first-team All-North Coast Section and league MVP in 2003...twice a member of the All-Contra Costa Times team...helped her squad to second place North Coast Section finishes in 2001 and 2002 and undefeated league records from 2001-03...was a member of the Pacific Zone Team in 2003...majoring in integrated biology... parents are Neil and Lorna Stuart...born August 29, 1986, in Stamford, Conn.
