BERKELEY - California volleyball senior outside hitter Hana Cutura became just the fifth player to break the 2,000-kill mark in Pac-10 history at the NCAAs, making her the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week. Cutura finished her career as Cal's most prolific scorer and holds the all-time career mark for kills with 2,004. Cutura led the Golden Bears to their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Div. I Women's Volleyball Championship Regional Final where they fell to two-time defending national champion Penn State. The senior from Zagreb, Croatia had 18 kills (6e, 40att, .300) and five digs in the Gainesville Regional semifinal in a 3-0 win against Baylor. She then had 16 kills (7e, 40att, .225) against the Nittany Lions to make it 32 straight matches with double-digit kills. For her efforts, Cutura was selected to the NCAA Gainesville Regional All-Tournament team, her second NCAA regional all-tourney team honor.
