BERKELEY - The field for the NCAA Women's Volleyball Berkeley Regional is set after the completion of the second round of the NCAA Tournament. National No. 2 seed Stanford, No. 15 Iowa State, Michigan and Michigan State will head to Berkeley for the NCAA Regionals hosted by the University of California on Dec. 7-8 at Haas Pavilion.Michigan (25-11) will take on state rival Michigan State (25-9) at 5 p.m. PT Friday while Stanford (29-3) will meet Iowa State (22-7) at 7 p.m. The winners will meet Saturday at 8:30 p.m. PT in the regional final for the right to advance to the NCAA championships Dec. 13-15 in Louisville, KY. Stanford defeated Jackson State and Western Kentucky to advance to the regional semifinals while Iowa State got past IPFW and North Carolina to earn a trip to Berkeley. Michigan advanced by beating Tennessee in five sets and then upsetting No. 9 Louisville. The Spartans got by San Diego and then upset No. 7 UCLA to punch their ticket for the NCAA Regionals. For the 2012 NCAA Women's Volleyball Berkeley Regional, all session ticket prices for adults are $20, and for youth/seniors/students $15.
