U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team Head Coach "Jenny" Lang Ping announced this week that 10 players have accepted offers to train with Team USA at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. including California senior outside hitter Angie Pressey and junior outside hitter/middle hitter Morgan Beck. The two Golden Bears participated in an invitation-only tryout held from Jan. 7-12 in Colorado Springs and will return to the training center in the coming weeks.

Not including Pressey and Beck, Team USA's newest additions include University of Texas' Lauren Paolini (MB, Jr., Ann Arbor, Mich.), Destinee Hooker (OH, So., San Antonio, Texas) and Juliann Faucette (OH, Fr., San Diego, Calif.); Stanford University's Bryn Kehoe (L/S, Sr., North Bend, Ohio) and Alix Klineman (OH, Fr., Manhattan Beach, Calif.); UCLA's Rachell Johnson (OH, Sr., San Diego, Calif.); Long Beach State University's Alexis Crimes (MB, Sr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.); and Loyola Marymount University's Heather Hughes (OPP, Sr., Fallbrook, Calif.).

With the addition of the 10 players from the tryout, the U.S. training team roster now stands at 18 players. The training squad will compete this spring for tournament roster spots this summer. Team USA earned a berth into the 2008 Olympic Games with a third place finish at the FIVB World Cup in November 2007.
