Cal Volleyball Sweeps Central Michigan

FORT COLLINS, Colo.-- The University of California women's volleyball team bounced back from a loss earlier in the day to Colorado Dtate to defeat Central Michigan 3-0 (15-9, 15-4, 15-6) at the University Park Holiday Inn Classic Saturday evening.

The Bears' defense left the match in little doubt from the outset, holding CMU to a .020 hitting percentage. Cal hit .250 for the match.

Cal's Jessica Dinaberg had a team-high 11 kills while Amanda Selby added seven. Jennifer Kriste had 33 assists for the Bears.

The Bears will return to action Sept. 5-6 for the Illinois State Tournament.
