Cal Volleyball Falls to No. 24 Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo.-- The University of California women's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday, falling to No. 24 Colorado State, 15-6, 15-5, 15-1, in the second round of Colorado State's University Park Holiday Inn Classic. Cal is now 1-1 on the season, while Colorado State improved to 2-0.

The Bears were led by sophomore Amanda Selby's six kills, while senior Jessica Dinaberg added five kills and five digs. Cal struggled to a .038 hitting percentage for the match (26 kills, 22 errors, 105 attempts), while CSU hit .275.

Round robin play in the tournament concludes Sunday, with Cal taking on Central Michigan (0-2) at 12 noon (MT), and Colorado State (2-0) facing Northern Iowa (1-1).
