Athens, GA - Freshman Suzi Babos fell to Stanford's No. 32 Theresa Logar in the Round of 32 at the 2005 NCAA Championships individual tournament. The loss ends the season of one of the most decorated freshman players in Cal history.

Babos, who had defeated Kentucky's Kim Coventry in the Round of 64, fell to Logar in straight sets, losing 6-1; 6-3.

Babos was named the ITA National Player to Watch May 22, adding to a growing list of accolades which include being named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and first team All-Pac-10.

The Sopron, Hungary native ends the season with a 33-10 overall record. In addition to compiling a 17-7 dual record as Cal's top singles player, Babos captured the singles titles from both the Cal Nike Invitational and ITA West Regional Championships.
