BERKELEY - Junior Caitlin Leverenz won two individual events in spectacular fashion to propel second-ranked California to the championship of the Arena Invitational, making her this week's California Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week. A member of the U.S. national team, Leverenz captured the 200-yard individual medley with an automatic NCAA qualifying time - and the fastest time in the nation - of 1:55.66. 0n Nov. 19, the last day of the meet, the Tucson, Ariz., product posted a meet-record and automatic NCAA qualifying time of 2:09.23 to claim the 200-yard breaststroke. Along the way, she also placed second in the 400 IM (NCAA B qualifying time of 4:05.67) and swam the breaststroke leg of Cal's second-place 400-yard medley relay (NCAA B time of 3:37.74).
