SAN FRANCISCO - Amanda Sims, an integral member of California's NCAA women's swimming and diving team championship, will appear on "Chronicle Live" today, Friday, March 25, at 5 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area to discuss the Golden Bears' success. The senior won the 100-yard butterfly national title for the second time in her career and swam the butterfly leg of Cal's victorious 400-yard medley relay at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, last week. She collected three All-America honors, from her 100 fly and relay victories as well as the 200 fly (5th place). The relay posted a school- and pool-record time of 3:28.99, while Sims clocked a personal-record time of 50.49 to clinch the 100 fly. Sims also claimed the 100 fly in 2009, when the Cal program won its first team title at NCAAs.
