STANFORD, Calif. - California's Molly Hayes posted her second consecutive runner-up finish when she took second in the one-meter springboard final Saturday in the Stanford Diving Invitational. The senior collected an NCAA regional-qualifying score of 268.90 at Avery Aquatic Center one day after taking second on the three-meter board at the Cardinal's meet.

Hayes was the lone Golden Bear to reach Saturday's final. She clinched second place with her last dive of the day - an inward one and a half somersault in the pike position that garnered 46.80 points.

In the one-meter consolation final, Cal sophomore Kahley Rowell finished first with a score of 246.95, senior Alissa Barker placed third (234.40) and freshman Samara White took eighth (182.70).

The Stanford Diving Invitational ends Sunday with the platform competition.
