CAL SUCCESS
• In her first year as a Golden Bear, Shellem clocked Cal's fifth-fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle (4:53.85), fifth-best time in the 1000 free (10:17.12), third-fastest time in the 1650 free (17:12.56) and seventh-best time in the 200 backstroke (2:02.52).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB SUCCESS
• High school All-American was one of the top middle-distance freestylers in the nation while at Lutheran High School.
• Also swam for the La Mirada Armada club.
NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS
• Swam in the 200- and 400-meter freestyles in the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials.
• Finished eighth in the 400-meter freestyle in the 2009 FINA World Cup meet in Stockholm.
• Placed eighth in the 800-meter free in the 2009 FINA World Cup meet in Berlin.
• Member of the U.S. youth national teams from 2007-09.
• Took bronze in the 400-meter free in the 2008 U.S. Open...won silver in the 200-meter free in the 2007 U.S. Pacific Coast All-Star Meet.
• Placed ninth in the 200- and 400-meter frees at the 2007 Speedo Junior National Championships.
