May 20, 2004 The Pac-10 season is now over with and this season has gone by so fast, I cannot even believe it. Last weekend, we took care of our business and ended conference with a sweep of the Oregon schools. We thought that this would defiantly put is into a favorable position going into regionals, and it did. Saturday, after our games, we flew back to the Bay Area and got prepared for what was going to happen after the weekend. The next day, a couple of us went to Smokey's house and watched our regional draws. We found out that we are headed to Nebraska. Although, this is not the place where we thought that we were going to end up, we did get a number one seed and that is the fist time that our program has earned this honor. It is a great accomplishment and I am very happy that I have been a part of this wonderful team this year. Moving on to Nebraska - they have played us one time this year in Georgia and beat us, 3-0. They are a good team and they are going to give us a tough game, but we have to beat two other teams before they get to us. We have Maine in the first game and we cannot look past this team. From here on out, every team that we face will be the best. It is the strong, the lucky, the unstoppable and the team with the most heart that will be in that championship game. We have a very good chance this year to be the best and if we play the game that we know how to play, we could very well be that team. We look forward to this weekend and we are all excited to play. So Bear fans, cross your fingers and wish us luck; it is going to be a fun week - or two! Go Bears.
