Man, what an exciting weekend! Our team hadn't beaten UCLA in conference play in several years - that made my day. I knew that it was in us and we finally came out and did it.

This past weekend has a lot of emotional highs. Going from being down one run and scoring two to come back and win against UCLA to run ruling Washington on Sunday to end our home games this year. It was the first sweep that we had all season and it felt wonderful.

On Sunday we had Senior Day (I mean Roni day) and on this day, everyone on our team has their mother and father accompany them during the introductions. Roni Rodrigues is the only senior that we had to say goodbye to, and she left home on a good note. She had a monstrous homerun against UW on Sunday and played great defense. I wish all of us who leave next year will have a day like she did.

After the game on Sunday we had a BBQ to honor the years and sweat that Roni had put in for this program. I am so glad that we had some cooks on the grill this year because this sure beats any catering job that we had in the past. Greg Anderson and Uncle Gabe did a fantastic job cooking all the food and our team did a wonderful job of eating it all. Put food in front of our faces and I will guarantee that it will be all gone in a matter of minutes, especially having Kaleo and me on the team - we both can put away some food.

This weekend is very important to us. We can potentially place second in the Pac-10 if everything goes to plan. We need to win and others need to loose. Let's put some voodoo on the other teams and hopefully that will work to our advantage! I can't wait for this trip because there is no sales tax in Oregon and we all manage our way into debt - and since there aren't anymore scholarship checks coming, I think that I am going to be in some trouble. Oh well. Oregon here we come.

Go Bears.
