BERKELEY - Already having cemented her stature in the prestigious annals of California softball, Jocelyn Forest will forever be a fixture in all of Golden Bear Sports with her induction to the Cal Athletic Hall of Fame this fall. Fans can purchase tickets to her induction banquet along with tickets to the Cal vs. Oregon football game at which Forest and the other inductees will be honored. The induction banquet will be on Friday, Nov. 9 at the Greek Orthodox Church in Oakland. Tickets are $85 each. At halftime of the Cal vs. Oregon game on Nov. 10, all of the inductees will be recognized on field. Tickets are available for purchase to the football game by calling 800-GO-BEARS. One of the top softball pitchers in school history, Forest led Cal to the 2002 NCAA championship - the first NCAA women's team title ever at Cal. She was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after posting a 4-0 record with a 0.50 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 28.0 innings of work at the Women's College World Series. She completed her senior year with a 29-12 record and a 1.11 ERA. A two-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection, she was named a second team All-American in both 2001 and '02. Forest won at least 20 games and helped Cal to the WCWS during each of her four years, finishing with 103 victories, 993.2 innings pitched and 1,203 strikeouts. In addition, she was voted the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA regional at UMass as a freshman. The Class of 2012, which will comprise the 27th group of inductees, consists of:
