BERKELEY - Fresh off their opening weekend at the Kajikawa Classic in Arizona, the No. 8 Golden Bears are headed to Davis, Calif. for a midweek matchup versus the University of California Davis. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at La Rue Field. The Bears will be looking for their 19th straight victory in the history of the series, last defeating the Aggies 11-3 in six innings in Berkeley. Cal holds the all-time series record, 20-6.

Sophomore Breana Kostreba accounted for four of Cal's home runs, hitting .417 (5-for12) with two solo homers, a double and four RBI. Freshman Jasmin Mejia and sophomore Danielle Henderson also contributed four RBI each. Along with Mejia, three other first-year Bears made their debut in the blue and gold at the Kajikawa Classic. Coaches filled the Golden Bear outfield with Mejia, Vanessa Alvarez and Khala Taylor, and pitcher Nisa Ontiveros recorded her first career win in the circle.
