As a Junior (2013):
One of Cal's most versatile offensive players - has split time at the plate with Lindsey Ziegenhirt but also performs well at first and second, can also play shortstop...Knocked in a game-winning home run against Sacramento State, the only run of the game, and followed with a home run in game one against Arizona for back-to-back games with a home run...Went 2-for-3 on May 10 vs. Washington with a career-high two home runs, posting three RBI and three runs scored...Missed just one regular season game, starting all 52 she entered with a .278 batting clip, 30 runs scored, 24 RBI and 10 home runs

Caught for Jolene Henderson or played first base...started in 46 games....consistent hitter, batted .311...hit six home runs and for extra-base shots... Started in five games at the Berkley Regional, playing four behind the plate and one at first base
As a Freshman (2011):
Exploded in the postseason, hitting .333 (.365 before the WCWS) with three sacrifice hits and four RBI...Became Cal's starting second baseman but also caught... Upped her batting average to .225 from .196 after the Lexington Super Regional...Knocked in 23 RBI...Put down team-high six sacrifice hits...Was six of seven in stolen bases ...Hit .250 in eight at-bats with one RBI at the Women's College World Series
Was First-Team All-Palomar League, First-Team All-North County, First-Team All-CIF and Most Valuable Player for her high school softball team during 2008 and 2010...Named the Athlete of the Year during her senior year...Played varsity soccer and was named Best Offensive Player her sophomore and senior years

Olympic Dreams: As a child, Victoria dreamed of representing the United States at the Olympic Games. But it was not the softball squad that Jones had her eyes on - it was the soccer team. At Vista High School, she made varsity soccer and was named the best offensive player her sophomore and senior years and notes that her best sports moment was traveling to Italy and Sweden to play soccer in the Gothia Cup.
Why I have my number: I've always had two favorite numbers: 3 and 10. Three was always softball and 10 was always my soccer number. They were both given to me when I was very young. Three was taken so I went with 10. I still draw a three in the box before every pitch.
