Nebraska Upends Cal Softball Team

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Jenny Smith went 2-for-3, drove in two, scored twice and hit a home run as Nebraska squaked past Cal, 4-3.

Holly Yost pitched six innings, but suffered the loss, as she allowed four runs on seven Cornhusker hits while striking out four.

Christie McCoy homered and had two RBIs for Nebraska (9-9), which scored three times in the bottom of the sixth for the comeback win. Jenny Voss threw a complete game, allowing three unearned runs and scattering eight Golden Bear hits.

Designated hitter Jenny Ackley went 2-for-4 and drove in two for the Bears (18-13).
