Pac-12 All-Academic Teams Release SAN DIEGO - Junior goalkeeper Emily Kruger heads a list of 11 Golden Bears who garnered Pac-12 All-Academic Team honors, Commissioner Larry Scott announced on Nov. 14. With her 3.63 grade-point average, the peace and conflict studies major earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. The following Bears earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention: seniors Lauren Battung, Betsy Hassett and Samantha Walker; juniors Mekenna DeBack, Amanda Glass and Emi Lawson; and sophomores Taylor Comeau, Kaitlin Dickmann, Thelma Einarsdottir and Kory Lamet. The Bears (16-5-0) are currently in San Diego ahead of their second-round, NCAA Tournament match at San Diego State (20-1-1) scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. at the SDSU Sports Deck.
