BERKELEY - After scoring three goals and tallying one assist, freshman forward Ifeoma Onumonu is the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, the Conference office announced Tuesday.

"Ifeoma is well deserving of this award," Cal head coach Neil McGuire said. "She has been a constant threat all year, and she is reaping the rewards of her hard work. She is also an outstanding team player."

Against Colorado on Friday, Onumonu scored two goals en route to the Golden Bears' 3-2 overtime victory. On Sunday at Utah, the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., native not only tallied the game-winning goal but also chipped in an assist.

Thanks to her three scores and one assist (seven points), the Golden Bears have posted back-to-back series sweeps of conference schools for the first time since 2007. She is now tied for second in the Pac-12 with her team-leading eight goals. In six shots, Onumonu scored thrice.

This is the first weekly honor for Onumonu, who is California's 24th all-time Player of the Week. She was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com team of the week.
