BERKELEY - Ifeoma Onumonu claimed another honor - a spot on the Soccer America All-Freshman First Team - celebrating an amazing debut season for the high-scoring California forward, the magazine announced on Tuesday.

A product of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Onumonu emerged as a major attacking threat in her first season for the Bears, earning her the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Award and berths on the All-Pac-12 and NSCAA All-Pacific Region First Teams. She led all Pac-12 freshmen in points (28), goals (11) and assists (6) and tied for second in the Conference in goals, ranked third in points and tied for sixth in assists.

Onumonu - who led the Bears in points, goals and assists - also paced the Bears in game-winning goals (4). Onumonu was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week in early October after a weekend in which she notched three goals and an assist in a pair of wins over Colorado and Utah.
