Cal Falls at Cal State Fullerton, 1-0

Fullerton, Calif. -- The California women's soccer team was shut out for the first time in 1997 and fell to 1-2-1 on the year following a 1-0 loss at the hands of the Cal State Fullerton Titans Sunday afternoon in Fullerton, Calif.

Fullerton's Dolores Browning set up Kara DiPaolo at the 56-minute mark for a short goal into a wide open net for the game's only score.

Again, the Bears out shot their opponent, 8-6, but were unable to find the net for the first time this season.

The victory improved Cal State Fullerton to 2-2 on the season.

Cal open's its first homestand of the season this weekend. The Bears will take on UC Santa Barbara Friday Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. Cal will then host Bay Area rival, Saint Mary's, on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. Both matches will take place at Witter Field on the Berkeley campus.
