Valenzuela joined Cal as a walk-on but has had a huge impact on the team every season...started as a defensive midfielder her first two seasons, on the Bears' backline as a junior and will likely return to the starting defensive mid spot as a senior...good communicator...arguably the most competitive player on the team...excellent in the air...a ball winner and capable of starting the attack.

CAL: 2003: During the summer of 2003, won an open division club national championship with teammate Cami Boswell.

2002: Showed her durability, starting in 18 games and missing only three after suffering a concussion...saw most of her minutes in central defense?selected the team's Defensive MVP...honorable mention Academic All-Pac-10 honoree.

2001: Displayed toughness by competing in 20 games and making 19 starts while battling a knee injury...tallied three assists, including on both goals in Cal's 2-1 OT victory at Arizona.

2000: Started 19 games...posted six points (1G, 4A)...her goal was the game winner against Xavier...also had a game-winning assist vs. No. 25 James Madison...Cal's Freshman of the Year.
