LaFontaine-Kussmann missed the end of the 2007 season after being diagnosed with lymphoma...has been in remission since the spring and is cleared to play for Cal in 2008...has spent several years in the national team program...reads the game well and shows exceptional mental toughness...a rare goalkeeper who can also play in the field...capable of taking set pieces and can strike a great ball with either foot.
CAL: 2007: Participated in five games and made two starts in goal...allowed two goals in 261 minutes in net for a 0.69 goals-against average...chosen the team's Most Inspirational Player...earned a redshirt year after being diagnosed with her illness.
