BERKELEY - California senior midfielder Cristen Andrews and senior attacker Danni Zuralow were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association West/Midwest second team, the IWLCA announced on Thursday.

The IWLCA honored 128 Division I student-athletes overall with inclusion on its eight all-regional teams, with each of the four regions - the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, and West/Midwest - naming a first and a second team. All 128 athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-America teams, which will be announced on May 29.

Zuralow, a member of the 2008 All-MPSF team, ended her final year as the Golden Bears' season leader in points (58), goals (40), caused turnovers (20) and game-winning goals (3). She also collected 18 assists to rank second on the team. In the Cal record books, Zuralow ranks fifth in the all-time scoring category (157 points), fifth in all-time assists (44) and sixth in all-time goals (105). The product of Fairfax, Va., earned three MPSF Player of the Week honors this season, taking home her third MPSF Player of the Week award for her play in the Bears' 13-11 win over George Washington on March 20. She scored a game-high four goals, including the game winner and the last two goals of the game. Zuralow also earned MPSF Player of the Week honors for her play against Northwestern (career-high 6 points) on Feb. 17 and Stanford (career-high 5 goals) on Feb. 23.

Andrews was an ironwoman for Cal throughout her career. Like Zuralow, Andrews played all 18 games in 2008. The Pleasanton, Calif., product was a workhorse for the Bears, successfully defending some of the nation's top players while also grabbing ground balls (29, 2nd at Cal in 2008), snaring draw controls (22, 4th) and creating her share of caused turnovers (14, 6th). Andrews, who scored a career-high nine goals and career-high nine points in 2008, was the only Bear to earn a spot on the 2008 MPSF All-Tournament team.

Cal ended its 2008 season with a 9-9 record after dropping a 9-8 decision to Oregon in the May 2 third-place game of the MPSF Women's Lacrosse Championship that the Bears hosted in Memorial Stadium.
