STANFORD, Calif. - California's Alexa Rozelle and Gaby Christman earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Tournament status, the conference announced April 29. Rozelle, a junior attacker, and Christman, a freshman defender, scored a combined seven goals in the Golden Bears' MPSF Lacrosse Tournament semifinal loss to Oregon on April 27. Rozelle led Cal with four goals, while Christman notched her first hat trick as a Bear. These are the first MPSF All-Tournament selections for both Bears. Rozelle finished the season as Cal's second-leading goalscorer, with a career-high 39, and ranked third on the team in points (career-high 43), after starting a career-high 16 games. Christman scored seven points (6 goals, 1 assist) after playing (16) and starting (14) the most games by a Cal freshman this year. After topping Cal, 14-11, Oregon went on to defeat host Stanford, 13-10, in the MPSF Tournament final on April 29, ending the Cardinal's seven-game winning streak in the tournament championship. Stanford's streak started in 2005 -after Cal won the inaugural MPSF Tournament title in 2004. The Ducks will host an NCAA Tournament play-in game on May 5 against Navy, the Patriot League Tournament champion.
