STANFORD, Calif. - Three California players - senior attacker Sam Price, junior defender DennaFaye Herald and junior midfielder Alex Tickner - were named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation team, the conference announced on April 23.

Price and Tickner were each twice named MPSF Players of the Week this season. Price, Cal's leading scorer, earned the accolades after scoring a career- and Cal season-high seven points (4 goals, 3 assists each time) in a pair of conference games - in a 19-0 rout of Fresno State in the Feb. 7 season opener and in a 22-13 win over Saint Mary's on April 1. She also scored her two game-winning goals in those games. The product of Millersville, Md., paces the Bears with a career-high 41 points and a career-high 16 assists. She ranks second to Tickner on the team with 25 goals. Price, who has started all 16 games this year, also collected a single-game season high for Cal with four assists in a March 13 game against Vermont.

Tickner leads Cal with 27 goals and is tied with senior goalkeeper Morgan Dyson for the team lead in ground balls (20). The Rockville, Md., product also has 19 draw controls and 10 caused turnovers this season. She has become more offensive-minded this year, posting career highs in points (30, ranks second on team), goals and shots (team-high 62). Tickner, who has started in 15 of 16 games this year, has also set team highs in single-game totals for shots (8, twice) and shots on goal (7, three times). She scored the game-winning goal in a 13-6 MPSF win over UC Davis on March 8, after which she earned her second MPSF Player of the Week award. She earned the first conference accolade the week prior, after scoring a hat trick in Cal's 8-6 victory over Temple on March 1.

Herald, one of Cal's best defenders, has posted career highs in points (11, ranks seventh on team), goals (5) and assists (6) after starting all 16 games this season. The Carlsbad, Calif., native has also collected 16 ground balls, 12 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers. Herald scored a single-game career-high three points, with one goal and two assists, in Cal's last game - a 13-12 overtime victory over then-No. 18 Oregon on April 17. That win in part propelled Cal to the No. 3 seed in the MPSF Tournament.

Cal plays sixth-seeded Saint Mary's in the quarterfinal round of the MPSF Tournament at 3:30 p.m. today, Thursday, April 23, at Stanford's Cagan Stadium.
