California continues its homestand when it hosts Davidson at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, at Memorial Stadium. The Golden Bears bring a 0-3 record (0-1 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) to the nonconference match with the Wildcats (1-2, 1-0 National Lacrosse Conference). Cal has a 0-2 record in the all-time series with Davidson.
Scouting the Golden Bears
Senior midfielder Alyse Kennedy leads Cal in goals (6), assists (2) and points (8) through three games. Sophomore midfielder Lauren Johnson has grabbed seven draw controls to lead the Bears. Junior goalkeeper Allie Shropshire leads the team in ground balls (11).
Theresa Sherry, the 2008 MPSF Coach of the Year, is in her third year as head coach at Cal.
Scouting the Wildcats
Freshman midfielder Alanna Parker leads Davidson in points (10) and assists (5), while senior midfielder Haley Cook paces the Wildcats in goals (7) and ranks second in points (7). Senior goalkeeper Michelle Pav has played every minute of Davidson's three games and has an 11.33 GAA.
Davidson has lost to Bucknell, 8-7, and Navy, 14-7, and defeated NLC opponent Detroit Mercy, 15-12.
Kim Wayne is in her second year as head coach at Davidson.

MPSF Tournament Champion Earns NCAA Play-In Berth
For the first time in the eight-year history of the conference, the MPSF Tournament winner will earn a berth in an NCAA play-in game, vs. the Atlantic-10 champion. The 2010 MPSF champion will host this year's play-in.

Cal closes a four-game homestand when it hosts eighth-ranked Notre Dame at noon on Saturday, March 13 at Memorial Stadium.
