BERKELEY - Four members of the 2012 California women's gymnastics team earned the right to call themselves Scholastic All-Americans, the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women announced recently. Alicia Asturias, Alexandra Leggitt, Lina Nilsson and Arla Rosenzweig were all named All-Americans. "I am so proud of all four of these remarkable student-athletes," Cal head coach Justin Howell said. "It really demonstrates how athletics nurtures discipline and excellence far beyond the walls of the gym. These student-athletes prove that you can perform at the highest level - both in the classroom and in sport. They make me proud to be a Golden Bear!" Student-athletes were recognized for attaining a year-long or cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Asturias is majoring in pyshcology. Nilsson is an integrative biology major. Leggitt will finish her degree in anthropology this Decemeber. Rosenzweig is majoring in cognitive science.
