Berkeley, CA - Senior My-Lan Dodd was named to the 2005 Academic All-District VIII Women's At-Large Second Team, as announced by ESPN the Magazine. Dodd, who has a 3.74 GPA, is a double major in developmental studies and sociology.

District-VIII is compromised of universities from nine western states, along with British Columbia.

The All-District award was not the only academic honor which Dodd received. Along with winning a Golden Bear Individual Award for having the highest cumulative GPA on the women's gymnastics team, Dodd was awarded a Pac-10 Postgraduate Scholarship. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in sociology either at Berkeley or the University of Chicago.

In addition, Dodd was also given the Anna Espenschade Award by Cal, recognizing a graduating female student-athlete for successful integration of academic and athletic pursuits.

Dodd graduates as one of the top female gymnasts in Cal history.
