Nicolette "Nikki" Lew competed in every Cal meet her freshman season. She began her collegiate career earning a 9.750 for her beam routine in the season-opener against Arizona State and finished last season strong, scoring a career-best 9.725 on the bars at the Pac-10 Championships.

Where is your favorite place to relax? My favorite places to relax are the beach, in my bed, or hiking in the Berkeley hills

If you had a time machine, what year/era would you like to travel to? The 1970's

What do you like best about gymnastics? The challenge of trying new skills, overcoming fears, and being as close to perfect as possible

What are your favorite sports movies? Bring it On, Stick It and Fired Up

What is your favorite non-sports movie? Finding Nemo

What is your favorite recent movie? Easy A

Do you have any pets? Two dogs. I used to have a chameleon, bearded dragon lizard, crayfish, and a leopard tortoise.

Where have you traveled? South Africa, Europe, Hawaii, and the Mediterranean

What challenge do you find in gymnastics that you do not find in any other sport? Getting your body into shape in order to handle the skills we perform
