BERKELEY - Senior My-Lan Dodd won two individual titles and the all-around on Friday in her final home meet as California fell to No. 23 North Carolina State at Haas Pavilion, 194.050-192.300
Dodd, who holds four of the top five all-around scores in Cal history, posted a 38.725 all-around score to edge-out teammate Siobhan Luce (38.525), who set a new career-high herself. Dodd won the vault (9.825) and bars (9.850) events and took second on floor (9.825). Luce, meanwhile, smashed her previous all-around high of 38.075 by nearly a full half-point. The freshman also set a new career high of 9.625 on bars.
Another senior, Lauren Shipp, posted a season-high of 9.825 on beam to win the event. She also tied her career-high of 9.775 on bars in her final home meet.
Cal (6-10) just missed setting a new season-high score. Friday's 192.300 was a shade off of the 192.350 the Bears scored March 7 in a loss at Utah State.
Cal wraps up the regular season March 19 in a tri-meet at San Jose State with Stanford. Meet time at Spartan Gym is 7 p.m.
