LOS ANGELES - After one of their best performances last week against Washington, the California women's gymnastics team kept up the pace, but finished third behind No. 6 UCLA (196.250) and No. 11 Denver (193.700). However, the Bears did defeat Cal State Fullerton, 192.450-191.925, picking up their first victory of the season in Los Angeles.

Sophomore Bridgette Glass competed in the all-around competition for the first time in her Cal career on Sunday. Glass posted a team-best all-around score of 38.900. The Oakley native notched career-highs on the vault (9.825) and bars (9.850). She also collected a 9.725 on the beam and a 9.550 on the floor. Glass placed fourth in the competition.

Cal recorded their season-best vault score of 48.875 in the quad-meet. Three Bears notched their career-best in the event. Senior Isabel Garcia (9.875), junior Allison Szutu (9.850) and Glass (9.825).

Besides on the vault, Szutu also put together solid performances on the bars (9.625) and the floor (9.625).

On the bars, sophomore Lydia Williams scored her season-best mark of 9.825 in the event.

The Bears will return home to host No. 13 Arizona on Friday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. (PT). The meet will be held at Haas Pavilion.
