BERKELEY - Sophomore Jo Ee Kok and recently graduated Daniela Holmqvist have been chosen by their home countries, Singapore and Sweden, respectively, to represent at the World Amateur in Turkey, Sept. 25-28th.

The event is characterized as the "Olympics" for amateur golf. The pair is very excited to participate, and will follow other Cal Bears who have represented in years past: Sarah Huarte (USA), Claire Dury (New Zealand), Sofie Anderson (Sweden), Pia Halbig (Germany) and Roseanne Niven (Scotland).

"This is a major accomplishment for these young ladies and they have our full support as they travel to Turkey to represent their respective countries," said head coach Nancy McDaniel. "It is wonderful for our Cal program to continue the tradition of having top ranked players world wide."

The Golden Bears next play in the Cougar Invitational in Pullman, Wash. on Sep. 24 and 25.
