Cal sophomore Joanne Lee won her second tournament of the summer, shooting a one-under at the Bay Regional Championship held at Tilden Park. Lee opened with a one-under 69 followed by an even 70 at The Bay Regional Championship, played Aug 1-2, 2009 at the 6294 yard, par 70 Tilden Park Golf Course in Berkeley, CA. Her previous victory came at the Northern California Golf Association Women's Championship at Poppy Hills in mid-July.

Lee is a redshirt sophomore, having sat out last season after transferring from USC. She will begin her official career as a Bear this fall when she is eligible to compete for Cal.

Also playing in the tournament were Emily Childs who will be playing for Cal in the fall after transferring from Colorado and incoming Cal freshman Jacqueline Williams. Childs finished tied for second with a 146. Williams tied for fifth, shooting a 158.
