SAMMAMISH, Wash. - After two rounds, the University of California women's golf team moved up a spot and is now tied for third at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational with a +42 (310, 308 - 618) after finishing 36 holes of play. The Golden Bears are competeing at the 6,130-yard, par-72 Sahalee Golf and Country Club, and are being led by senior Shannon Yocum who is tied for eighth individually after shooting a four-over 76 today (76, 76 - 152, +8). As a team, Cal was able to bring its score down two strokes today to remain 12 strokes behind the leaders and earn a tie with Oregon State. The Bears are trailing Stanford (303, 303 - 606, +30) and Oregon (299, 309 - 608). The Bears captured wins in their first two fall tournaments, the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., back on Sept. 8-9, and the Badger Invitational in Verona, Wisc., on Sept. 27-28.

Senior Allison Goodman and freshman Diane Kwon are also posting low numbers and both finished the day tied for 20th at ten-over 154 (74, 80). Freshman Angela Villela moved up the leaderboard as well, finishing tied for 29th at +14 (82, 76 - 158). Sophomore Andrea Waters posted a +25 (85, 84 - 169) to round out the Bears' squad.
