ATHENS, Ga. - The California Golden Bears finished day 1 at the Liz Murphey Invitational at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga in 18th place with a combined score of 306. Senior Jacqueline Williams and junior Nicola Roessler led the Bears with scores of 76 (+4).

The Golden Bears got off to a very slow start in the 54-hole 3-day tournament. Also competing in the tournament are sophomore Morgan Thompson and senior Joi Pentin, who both finished with the day with 77 (+5) on the card. Freshman Hannah Suh also competed for the bears, and she finished the day with a 78 (+6).
